KUAZAR

Official Paraguayan Thrash Metal

KUAZAR

From Ciudad del Este to continental stages and Europe, KUAZAR carries Paraguayan metal with force, history, and blood-red conviction.

About the band

Paraguayan metal with continental fire

Formed in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay in 2002, KUAZAR rose from the South American underground into one of Paraguay's most recognized heavy metal exports.

KUAZAR official band portrait

Through the 2000s the band built its foundation across Paraguay and southern Brazil, releasing two demos that circulated through Parana, Brazil and throughout Paraguay.

KUAZAR began recording its first album, Wrath of God, in 2009. Released in January 2010, the album was strongly received by metal fans in Paraguay, Brazil, and Argentina, opening the door to continental festivals and international distribution agreements.

The band has shared stages with major names including Megadeth, Kreator, Krisiun, Voivod, Sepultura, Violator, Kataklysm, Terrorizer, and Belphegor, building a solid following across the continent.

KUAZAR drew international attention in 2012 through BBC Mundo for the song Kuriju and its striking use of the Guarani language inside heavy metal.

After lineup shifts and the release of singles including Obscure and Violent, Machete Che Pope, and Silence, founding drummer Eduardo Ratty Gonzalez returned in 2023, igniting a new live era and renewed international momentum.
